From DIFC to Wall Street: Unlocking Access to Global Markets

On June 24, 2024, ViewTrade, in partnership with Centroid Solutions, hosted an industry-focused event in Dubai titled “From DIFC to Wall Street: Unlocking Access to Global Markets.” The theme reflected the interest of financial institutions in the GCC in exploring pathways to expand their access to global capital markets.

Held in Dubai, a growing hub for financial innovation, the event brought together participants including institutional brokers, infrastructure providers, and fintech professionals to discuss scalable, technology-driven approaches that may support institutional access to international markets.

A key session featured a fireside chat with Sumeet Akewar, Head of Electronic Trading at Arqaam Capital. He shared his perspectives on connecting regional markets to global platforms, the role of partnerships and infrastructure in enabling access, and evolving trends within the capital markets ecosystem.
