What was your first job?
My first job was as a data entry operator with the cargo industry. That time the computer was new to India, so I have chosen my career as a data entry operator to reach some other level in IT industry.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
You have to be very open minded and focus on your own skill and be adaptive. There is no shortcut in life and work hard party harder.
What’s a skill you think will be essential for the future of this industry?
Since I work in regulatory compliance, staying updated with regulations is part of my daily routine and it’s like reading the newspaper every day. We need to understand evolving rules and effectively communicate them to our teams. Looking ahead, AI will play a crucial role. It’s going to reshape how compliance is managed in FinTech. AI can simplify regulatory tracking and enforcement, making the job more efficient and scalable.
What’s a challenge you’ve overcome, and how did it shape you?
One major challenge has been bringing together people with different mindsets and skill sets, and aligning them with a common, positive purpose.
Over time, I have developed patience and become a better listener. Listening helps me understand people’s strengths and weaknesses. I focus on nurturing their strengths and supporting them through their challenges. This approach has helped me build strong teams and even future leaders from within.
